Still Here….

Still Here….

About this time ten years ago, I was teaching acting to a handful of actors on a small patch of grass in Burbank. Cars whizzed by on one side of us, and on the other, the L.A. River rolled by The Forrest Lawn Mortuary. We would hit the ground running every day at 7 AM – bleary eyed, cold, and caffeinated.  By 7.05 our feet were wet from the dew-laden grass, but we didn’t care. We had bigger fish to fry – we were greeting the day as actors not civilians, and that’s all that mattered.

And here we are – it’s 2011 and those actors, as well as thousands of others, have come and gone. Many have forged substantial acting careers while others have taken what they learned and become better people. I am still here, together with the very best faculty in the world, waiting to greet you in the arena of show – which is now, by the way, indoors.  So if you’re done doing whatever it is you do as you wait to do what you’re meant to do, begin now, begin today.
