Sterling Young
The path Sterling Young took to acting is not one that's most traveled. Sterling grew up in Ohio where he graduated from Ohio State University on an Army ROTC Scholarship. After fulfilling his military obligation as a transportation officer, a good friend who was working at Warner Brothers at the time, convinced Sterling that he could do voiceovers for cartoons. Just after Sterling arrived in Hollywood, he landed a part on a Disney film project entitled "Sounds Dangerous," with Drew Carey, which put him in front of the camera. Since then, Sterling has lent his voice to commercials, documentary narration and webisodes. He has also brought characters to life for cartoons such as the big lovable "Pipsqueak" in the cartoon Avatar, as well as the evil "Professor Hollander" in the CD-ROM game Final Fantasy VII. He has now realized that he wants to be known as an actor who not only brings projects and animated characters to life with his voice acting, but who also brings his presence to the stage and screen. Sterling has completed Boot Camp I and Boot Camp II at The Acting Corps and is now enrolled in the Advanced Program. |
